Our complete service includes Ovum-Pick-Up (OPU) at our facility in Hungary, subsequent transportation of oocytes to Avantea for ICSI, and return of the cryopreserved embryos to Hungary for implantation. The donor mare does not have to travel to Italy. We also provide recipient mare rental, subject to availability.

*During the fertilization of the oocytes, it is possible that multiple embryos suitable for implantation will be created. In the case of additional embryos being created, the OPU and ICSI costs are not repeated, only the costs of ‘Created frozen embryo’ (€ 545 + VAT).

**For the current list of ICSI semen offered by Scuderia SA, or for allocation of the ICSI procedures for particularly exclusive stallions, please contact the Scuderia SA team. The use of brought semen is possible, but only if it’s available at Avantea and is accompanied by the appropriate medical documentation. Inquire about the possibilities of transportation to Avantea by the Scuderia SA team.

In the most ideal situation the embryo is implanted on day 4 after ovulation and before that it is important to monitor the uterine changes, so the recipient mare spends minimum 55-60 days with us.

Insemination with frozen brought semen

A pregnancy fee of €500 is applicable to a mare that is 14 days pregnant if she departs from the clinic’s facility before the third check. This fee will be refunded in the event of a failed pregnancy. Miscarriage examinations must be conducted either by our clinic or by our partner clinics. If a mare is confirmed not pregnant on the 45th or 50th day with a validated veterinary certificate, the pregnancy fee will be refunded to the client. If the mare stays at our clinic, the invoice will be prepared before she is sent home. If she goes home, the invoice for the additional €500 will be prepared or not prepared based on a veterinary examination and certification.
